WHAT ARE THE BURNING REGULATIONS IN OUR AREA?
There is no open burning allowed in the City of Archdale.
There are regulations from the North Carolina Forestry Service that shal be followed. Please review the NCforestService.gov for complete information on burning regulations.

WHY DOES A FIRE TRUCK RESPOND TO A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?
Staff at the Guil-Rand Fire Department are trained to the EMT level. These personnel can routinely arrive faster than an ambulance and can administer emergency medical care to someone in need.

WHY DOES THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FLOW HYDRANTS?
The department flow tests fire hydrants Bi-annually to make sure there is adequate water available in the event of a fire. Additionally flow testing and maintenance of fire hydrants helps to improve the fire insurance rating of the community, which in turn lowers homeowners’ and business owners’ insurance premiums.

WHAT IS MY FIRE INSURANCE RATING? 
Guil-Rand Fire Department has an Insurance Rating of 3 in the city district and an Insurance Rating of 4 in the rural district.

WHERE AND WHEN CAN I GET MY CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSPECTION?
Please call the Archdale Police Department (336-434-3134) to set up an appointment to have your safety seat installation inspected. The inspections are held at 305 Balfour Dr. in Archdale.

CAN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FILL MY SWIMMING POOL?
The Guil-Rand Fire Department cannot fill swimming pools.
 
DOES A RESIDENT HAVE TO REGISTER THEIR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT?
The Guil-Rand Fire Department does not require a fire alarm permit or the registration of residential fire alarm systems. We do ask that residents keep their alarm systems maintained to help prevent false alarms.
