Who we are:

Established in 1950, Guil-Rand Fire Department has grown to be the largest county fire department in Randolph County.

We are a combination department with 49 members on the career side. These personnel include, our administration staff, inspections and investigations division, full and part-time firefighter’s, mechanics and an administrative assistant. We have approximately 15 members on the volunteer side, which includes volunteer firefighter’s, ladies auxiliary and board members.

Guil-Rand Fire Department covers a district approximately 81 square miles with five strategically placed stations throughout the district. Currently we have 3 shifts with 12 well-trained firefighters on each covering these stations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. We respond to a wide variety of incidents averaging between 3500 to 4000 calls annually. Mitigation of incidents include functions such as fire suppression, rescue operations, haz-mat operations, emergency medical operations, fire prevention, fire inspections and investigations.

All in all, we are a full-service emergency services agency and take pride in serving our community to protect life and property.
